Sakusa Kiyoomi grows up believing he was chosen. Not in a dramatic, prophetic way, just in the quiet certainty his family and church place on him. He’s the obedient one, the disciplined one, the boy everyone points to as proof that devotion creates good people. Kiyoomi builds his entire identity around that role. If he is careful enough, clean enough, faithful enough, he will stay worthy of the love and approval that surrounds him.

Kiyoomi has a very, very, very small problem.
At the age of 24, he’s discovered he has feelings for someone. To make matters worse, it’s for one of his teammates. To make matters worse, this profound discovery came to him in a loud and sweaty bar, packed like a sardine against strangers. To make matters worse, these feelings are for none other than Atsumu Miya.
How did this come to be, you might ask? Kiyoomi would be miserable to tell you, but he’s going to do it anyway.

Summary
25-year-old Sakusa Kiyoomi is set to start working for his father’s successful company when he impulsively boards the first train away from the city. He ends up in coastal Onomichi, where he meets 33-year-old former pro volleyball player Miya Atsumu. Kiyoomi’s searching for something, not realizing that he might’ve just stumbled upon it by pure chance.
