“Don't tell me you were this nonchalant when you were learning how to drive,” says Liam through his teeth over the rumble of the engine idling.
“The Doctors got me a truck and then told me to drive to Beacon Hills and be back to the lab by nightfall or they’d take another kidney. I don’t know about you, but I rather prefer having a kidney. So what do you know, I learned how to drive real quick.”
“Wait--Are you implying that you only have one kidney? Or did they take a kidney and replace it, and you’re referring to your second kidney, which may or may not be your original one, which I don’t even know how that would work because--”
“Step on the fucking gas, Dunbar.”
Theo moves as if to swat at Liam’s arm, and Liam yelps and stomps on the gas so the truck lurches forward and then teeters to a halt an impressive twelve feet down the street.
“Wow, you’ve taken us out of state,” Theo says sarcastically. “Hooray.”

Or: Liam fakes not knowing how to drive so Theo will give him lessons and they can spend more time together. Predictably, his plan backfires.
