Summary
At 8:09 AM, Enid receives a call informing her that Yoko Tanaka has collapsed in a hospital three states away—and that, for reasons unknown, Enid is her emergency contact.
Enid arrives from Manhattan expecting a brief rescue mission.
Instead, she finds Yoko concealing a terminal illness and sharing a cliffside house with the girl Enid once kissed, fought, and spent years trying to hate.
Except during that time, Wednesday was hit by a car.
And now the woman standing in the kitchen—unguarded, forgetful, painfully open—bears no resemblance to the one Enid lost.
So before death claims her, Yoko intends to ensure her two favorite, broken idiots quit wasting what remains of their lives and just fucking kiss already.
