Summary
When he pokes his nose where he shouldn't Shane ends up being transferred to a small town in Nova Scotia, taking charge of the local police force. In this town nothing ever happens, and Shane soon becomes bored, he went from solving high-profile murders, to kicking teens out of local bars.
He meets Ilya Rozanov, a barkeep and local handyman, who Shane is immediately drawn to. They start to casually see each other, and because Shane doesn't plan on staying long he doesn't intend to make their relationship any deeper.
When a dead body shows up it turns the town upside down, and Shane has to uncover the truth. Eventually more bodies start showing up, and evidence starts pointing to those closest to him.

He meant it. He wanted to encourage Shane to embrace this, to see if it could help take some of the edge off this tense, tightly wound man sitting across from him.
Shane bit his lip, and Ilya found his eyes fixating on his plush mouth. Ilya would have to organize a line, complete with a velvet VIP rope the first time he took Shane out on the town to get laid. He was stunning, and he seemed to have yet to realize it.
