Summary
The scenes between the years an audience never sees, set in a timeline met with a tangled web of love and the loss of it all as a whole. Brian was sure he had known just what they were, it was part of knowing Rivers, better than anyone else could, someone he knew.
But certainty becomes faint over the years in the midst of love, and by the end, lost.
Brian was wrong, he didn’t know Rivers at all.

im so glad i was born to read this oh my fucking god. absolutely, incredibly GORGEOUS prose paired with beautiful characterization and throughout research on real life events. most events in the fic are based on things that have actually happened, and for every details that seemingly contradict real life there's a thoughtful and believable explanation for it. you can tell how much love and dedication was involved in the writing of this fic, it almost feels like reading a real autobiography.
broke down in tears. this is undoubtedly the best fanfic i've ever read in my entire life, not just a brivers fic but just a fic in general.
