Quando Riddle Rosehearts recebeu o convite para estudar na mais prestigiada academia de magia que já existiu, ele acreditou que, finalmente, estava recebendo a oportunidade de fazer tudo aquilo que ele sempre mais ansiou: ser o filho honrado que sua mãe idealizava. Desde o momento que colocou seus pés naquele colégio, ele achava que estava no caminho correto para chegar em seu objetivo. Ele era um aluno modelo, líder de dormitório e considerado um mago avançado para a sua idade, motivos de orgulho para ele e sua família.
Até o dia que ele perdeu seu cargo de líder.
Uma avalanche de problemas começam a desmoronar em cima de Riddle e, num momento de desespero, ele decide assinar um contrato com os três tritões de Octavinelle, afim de recuperar tudo que perdeu. Enquanto ele vê todo seu futuro perfeito fugindo entre seus dedos, Riddle precisa investigar quem é o causador de todos esses problemas, juntamente de um garoto-enguia de 1,91cm que adora vê-lo irritado. Um garoto-enguia que Riddle acaba se apegando mais do que suas regras permitem.
Rosas Submersas é sobre superação de traumas, primeiro amor e auto-aceitação, onde, lentamente, dois garotos completamente opostos aprendem sobre amor, amizade e parceria.

Contrary to popular belief, Floyd himself gets just as frustrated with his own mood swings as others do having to experiencing them (most of the time.)
When something stops being fun, it’s because something in him just sort of ‘clicks’ off, and suddenly whatever had his attention isn’t nearly as exciting as it was a millisecond ago - which means that he has to sulk in a poor mood until he can find something new.
Being in a bad mood out of his control is quite possibly one of the worst things he can think of. Trying to find something new to satiate his hunger for excitement is about as difficult as finding a coin in a coral bed - and it’s all the more frustrating when he can’t get that ‘click’ back again for a while.
