Summary
Jack Kelly got lucky with the Manhattan newsies. A laid back, accepting group of teenagers who were just looking for someone to guide them. He didn't really understand how lucky he was until after the strike.
Someone was out for Jack Kelly's position as the leader of the Manhattan Newsies. Someone wasn't satisfied with the ex-scab being in charge. And they're willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he's done for good.
*since january 20th, 2022, this fic has been on hiatus, however as of july 2024, i do plan on finishing it !! it may take longer than planned but i like the plot and i don’t want to abandon it completely

When Claire suggests that Leon and Chris move in together, Leon suprises himself by actually agreeing. Claire is obviously hoping they'll help look after each other; Leon isn't so sure about that, but half the rent is half the rent. What the hell.
And maybe, just maybe, coming home from a mission to company isn't the worst thing in the world.

Ada’s eyes widen.
Kneeling in the short distance between Wells and her is none other than Leon, his hair matted with blood, a litany of cuts and bruises on his arms where the fabric of his sleeve had been torn off. Leon lets out a shuddering breath, and Ada has to stop herself from doing the same.
“I don’t believe introductions are necessary,” Wells says, his voice nauseatingly chipper. “I'm quite certain you two are already well-acquainted.”
