“No, you are for me,” Baelor corrects gently. “I asked for you to come after supper, you know, you are quite early. I don’t mind a bit of eagerness from my companions, though. Especially not when they look like you.”
Aerion gapes. Baelor thinks he has come to warm his bed. He crinkles his nose, embarrassment and something unnamable swirling in his gut.
“I’m not— Baelor—”
Baelor slaps his ass hard. Aerion gasps, jumps forward at the sting, rubbing against his crotch. His hands fly to grip at his uncle's biceps, skin against skin. The contact feels searing hot.
Baelor gropes at the cheek he hit, kneading the fat. “Do they not teach you manners in Lys? It’s disrespectful to call a prince by name.”

Aerion is sent back in time to warn his father of the trial of seven. He ends up stumbling upon the young prince Baelor first, who assumes he's the Lyseni whore he'd requested.

It’s a statement, low and dark. Valarr lets go of him, keeping the dagger pointed at his throat. He unhooks his belt with one hand, jaw clenching.
Aerion furrows his brows. “What the fuck are you doing?”
Lips drawn into a tight smile, Valarr fumbles with the buttons on his breeches. “Allowing you the opportunity to apologize before I decide whether or not to kill you.”

“I know you are strong but you will struggle. It will be hard on your body, tougher on the mind. You will suffer,” Shiera says, eyes meeting Aerion’s. “You are inexperienced. You cannot change your mind, for the ritual will fail. Do you truly wish to participate, princeling?”
Her expression is stern. Aerion scowls at the challenge. “I said I would give my life and I mean it. Your warning changes nothing.”
Shiera smiles, eyes dark. “Good boy.”
Aerion gapes at her. There’s a searing heat flashing in his stomach, a mixture of anger and a sudden need to hear the words again. He stays silent, unsure whether to take offense. Something between a chuckle and a gasp leaves his throat.
“Excuse me?”
