Summary
Riku goes back for Kairi on Yen Sid's orders, Kairi makes him sit down and have a goddamn conversation, and they present their findings to Sora.
"You know, you're kind of a idiot, Riku," Kairi smiles, leaning her head against his shoulder. She feels warm, pressed against the length of his side, and Riku doesn't even attempt a rebuttal. He's never found a good one before. "My relationship with Sora isn't any different than your relationship with Sora."
Riku pauses a moment, mouth half-open.

“What?”
“He's real. And he said I was on the naughty list because you told me he didn't exist.” Sora is smiling, but Riku feels that guilt pool inside him again, which is stupid, because this whole thing is stupid. He shouldn't be feeling guilty about Santa.

“That’s new... Not just a keychain, is it?” Kairi asked, curious, stepping forward to get a closer look at it once she had discarded her own suitcase. She reached out before stopping herself at the last second, confronted by the intimacy of the moment.
“No. Way to Dawn, um, broke. Had to get a whole new keyblade.” The toe of Riku’s boot dug into the dirt as he held it out for her to see, distracted and self-conscious.
She looked back and forth between the unfamiliar keyblade and the conflicted expression on his face. “Are you okay?”
