Summary
The moon will always pull the tides towards her and push them away. Like clockwork it happens night and day, a continuous routine. The tide will wash up the shore and remove traces of children’s sandcastles, of lovers’ imprints of hearts, of the footpath of a lonesome wanderer. Memories will be made afresh the next day and washed away come nightfall.
Simon knows that some habits are bad — she knows that the addictiveness of a cat and mouse relationship is destructive. She knows she gets hurt in the end, she knows that the press of lips against others won't heal her wounds, but still she continues the chase regardless.
