Takumi knows if he moves his rook he'll be in check, but he can’t let Bryn's queen any closer than it is. He's pinned, Bryn knows that as well as he does, the constant stasis of ‘typing in progress’ on the chat bar makes his blood boil. The smug one liner was moments away.
‘Good job! Not perfect but much better this time. You move first next time.’ Takumi’s eyes widen, that’s a wild change in attitude from the last few games. He shakes the thought from his head and furrows his brow; expression suitably angry for his reply.
‘what! do you think you are some kind of prodigal chess master｡’ There’s a knock on his door and he almost closes his laptop too quickly to catch the reply.

“I remember, Fugo.” Giorno dumbs his things into the drawer of his bedside table. He looks up at Fugo with a small, bemused, smile. “I meant what happened in the bathroom.” Fugo leans on the bedframe, still unsteady. He doesn’t know if he’s allowed back on the bed. He feels like he’s taken advantage of Giorno by sleeping in the same bed at all, it kept him up for a couple of hours.
“I dropped your crowbar; it fell out, maybe flew out? Um…” He gestures to his hair. Giorno sniffs and hold his arms out to reach for Fugo.

“I’m starting to think it’s a ‘welcome home, we have some news’ evening.” Mista is trying not to laugh when Giorno makes a show of looking away. He thinks it’s funny to pretend to be coy, all those dates were making him upsettingly good at it. “I’m double excited now, I hope you know. Did you really buy a scaglietti?” Mista snorts.
“Would I lie to you?” Trish leers at him and he chortles.

Summary
“If he throws up grab his hair.” They groan, squirming in the air, but reluctantly chorus an ‘alright boss’. Fugo slumps into Mista’s side, struggling to keep himself upright.
“If you touch my hair I’m gonna aim it at you.” Fugo starts to gag. He’s swallowed a lot of blood today, probably mostly his own. Mista lowers them to the ground and squats beside Fugo when he spits up bile. “This is so fucking gross. When Giorno does a patch job is he this gross?” Mista nods against Fugo’s arm. Hat soft and comforting.
“Sometimes. He never feels it comin’ though. Covers himself in it, it’s so nasty.” Nobody’s perfect. Fugo feels a bit less pathetic with this knowledge. He chucks his guts up.

Alejandro just picks up the book from where it landed and politely hands it back to him, his fingers barely brushing Noah’s, and shoots him a blinding smile.
Noah just snatches the book and turns back around. He blatantly ignores the butterflies attacking his stomach right now. He already knew he was gay but that didn't mean he had to stoop as low as reality TV crushes.
