“...Alan, then?” he asked, striking up conversation as the pull of his curiosity demanded of him. Intriguingly, Alan flushed at this, blinking a few times at Victor, obviously and mysteriously flustered.
“Ah, uh– no, not. Not really? It was a– a bit of a joke. My name’s Sebastian.”
“Victor,” Victor said, inclining his head briefly. And then, “Explain the joke.”
Sebastian flushed further. Victor found himself kind of wanting to dissect him.

“Why the hell are you here, Ian?”
Mickey’s tone is defeated, and his shoulders barely hold their shape. He’s tired. Exhausted, really. Ian can see that in every line of his body, every curve of his face.
There’s so much that Ian wants to say to him, so much he wants to scream across this phone line connecting them, but he can’t. His head is a mess, in more ways than one, and no matter how fast he tries to parse through his tidal wave of emotions, he can’t figure them out.
He broke up with Mickey. Right?
Only now, he can’t really remember why.
“I don’t know,” Ian says honestly, and hopes it’s enough.
