He has so many friends on the team and despite that being true, all those guys he could hang out with, could joke around with, could somehow cobble together a new warmup routine with, it wouldn’t be the same.

It’s dumb as fuck for him to be sitting here throwing a pity party when for Tom, everything would change.
Wyatt would only lose one thing. But he’s beginning to wonder if it’s something he can’t afford to lose.

Tom Wilson expected this to play out how it always did: put on his signature smirk, look like a whore, make it so the other guy just wants to shut him up and leave so they can both go home. He's done this enough times to know what everybody wanted, and it's him on his knees in front of them or on all fours. But then Dylan Strome walked through the door and closed it politely behind him, looking nervous and brand new, and Tom thought it was another one he'd have to break in, show him the ropes, go over the rules. Maybe give him a blowjob and be on his merry way. That's not at all what happened.
