You had devoted a significant, irreversible amount of time to training to become a Demon Slayer after life had offered you a rotten hand. You had trained with Kyojuro Rengoku, memorized the forms, and even received a sword that changed color to match the breathing style that Kyojuro taught you. But in the end…you gave up that dream of becoming a slayer. At one point, you wanted to become a Hashira, to somehow live up to Kyujuro’s commendable teaching. But you threw it all away to become a Kakushi instead. You figured if you couldn’t help by killing demons, you could at least help by becoming a medic. And so it is the way it’s been for three years now. Summary
Ishida Uryū has dreamed of becoming a fashion designer since he first learned how to sew. However, his strict father expects him to follow in his footsteps and become a doctor. Uryū spends most of his school career working to the bone to prove to his father that he’s capable of making a career in fashion, but then Kuorsaki Ichigo happens.
One day, Uryū’s father walks in on them kissing and his father gives him an ultimatum: he’ll pay for the school of his choice no questions asked if he breaks up with Ichigo or he can stay with Ichigo and have no financial support unless it's for a medical school. Uryū agrees to his father’s request to achieve his dream. Unbeknownst to his father though, he hatches a plan to temporarily break up with Ichigo… Only things don’t go according to plan and now, over a decade later, Uryū’s returning to Karakura town and he hasn’t spoken to Ichigo since graduation day. His plan is pretty simple this time around: avoid Ichigo at all cost!
