Summary
Her mind was struggling to process the scene as she figured out the source of the crashing sounds. Her mouth gaped open, struggling to form words as she tried to come to terms with the blindingly white wings hanging limply behind Charlie, feathers littering the floor.
She took a wary step forward, standing on her tiptoes in order to see better, but she paused when Charlie skittered back like a cornered animal, and she realized that her silent staring was probably more than a little frightening for her very-scared-looking girlfriend.
“Uh… You have wings.” She stated slowly, stepping backwards. “How long have you had wings?”
