“I love you, I love you, I love you,” Achilles gasped, his hands finding his own hair when he found nothing to hold onto, pulling on his long, golden curls in something in between frustration and ecstasy. From the trembling breaths filling his throat in a familiar way, Patroclus could tell he was crying. “I’m in love with you, Patroclus, I’m so in love with you, I- I- You have no idea–”
Patroclus wanted to reach upwards, to hold him and press him to his chest, to kiss his hair, his forehead, his mouth, his cheeks, his temples. He wanted to push him down on his back, bury his face into his sweet-smelling neck, whisper those same words against his pulse, to tell him.
Yet his jaw felt like it was screwed shut, his body paralyzed.
Patroclus has fucked up, he somehow fixes it.

Summary
It wasn’t as if Patroclus wasn’t talking to him, was mean to him or he deprived him of his attention, which would be the worst in all of those things; no, he was the exact opposite of all those things. He was perfect in every single aspect, he was everything anyone could want from a partner.
Yet it did not stop Achilles from feeling like he was watching a one-man-theatre when he was talking to him.
Achilles is worried about his relationship with Patroclus, his worries come true.

Summary
Achilles was not sure if there were words to describe his way of looking at him, was not sure even if he knew them, even if there were. It always felt like he was looking at the very core of Achilles, as if his grey, gloomy gaze pierced through his skin and nerves and bones, as if he saw something much deeper inside him, something even he did not know existed. His gaze felt crushing and caressing at the same time, as if it was something addictive but life destroying at the same time. He felt ashamed, wanting to cover up into modesty every time Patroclus looked at him, yet at the same time he yearned to peel every single layer of clothing to get him to see more of Achilles. He felt blood rush up to the back of his neck and ears, his hands wrapping themselves in his golden curls. Patroclus was looking now. Patroclus was looking at him.
Achilles has missed Patroclus a week prior to their reunion, so they have to make do.

Hunger had always been there. In this form or another, from the moment he could remember himself, the emptiness inside him had been there. Food had not satisfied; neither women, nor men. Wine had not hushed the evergrowing flame he could not name inside him, burning his insides, charring his bones from the inside out. Hunger was evergrowing, it had never not been; and he had no idea how to satisfy it. It was not greed, he knew, as if there was never enough to satisfy him, let alone overindulge.

Summary
Nothing had ever come this natural to Achilles before. Kissing Patroclus felt like the most normal thing in the world as if it was in his genetic code, etched in his mind from the day he was born. He had kissed a lot of other people before and none of them had been this perfect without a brief period of learning about the person in front of him. With Patroclus, though, he somehow knew the next move immediately, how he would lick inside his mouth and where, where his hands would grab next; what kind of noise he would make when Achilles touched a particularly pleasant place. He felt completely safe and known in Patroclus’ embrace, as little sense as it made.
One thing about Achilles? He could have never guessed he would be absolutely smitten with a stranger with a strange name he met in a museum.

Achilles forced his way into Patroclus' mouth. A kiss, a lick, a bite. A rose of crimson blossomed on his plump bottom lip, a sacrifice to the temple dedicated to themselves. Patroclus yelped like a chastised hound, eyes growing wide to take in all of Achilles' stunned expression; watching it morph into one of interest, then lust. He could feel it too, that thrill of realization. That they could bleed. That in some way they were still alive.

It was the end to yet another day of fighting at Troy. However during one of Agamemnon's debriefing speeches, Achilles ignored a silent request to bow to the other king, which resulted in an underhanded attempt to insult him in return by discrediting the spoils that were due to the myrmidons. Whispers of discontent spread through the Phthian ranks, but as a therapon, Patroclus takes it upon himself to mitigate the problem.

He calls out Patroclus‘s name while sleeping with others and enjoys the power that comes with being able to do as he pleases. He didn’t intend for his yearning to earn Patroclus a reputation across campus as divinely gifted in bed.
