    Consciousness came back to Leon in gentle waves. As his brain started to boot up he jerked his limbs, testing where they were and how mobile. His hands were handcuffed behind him, metal digging into his wrists as he yanked against it. Thick rope kept his legs tied down to the metal chair he was seated in. As he leaned back he could feel the coolness of the metal directly seeping into his skin, shocking him to a more steady awareness.
