Kaveh doesn't know where the flowers go. Part of him is too afraid, too anxious to find out, but he'd seen the cut ribbons and decorative wrapper in the kitchen bin several times. So, he resigns himself to the fact that Al-Haitham, utterly devoid of any consideration for Kaveh’s feelings, must've thrown out the bouquets.
Of course he would, that insufferable prick. Why would Al-Haitham care about flowers, anyway? His interest in home furnishings only ever extends to those hideous wood carvings, which were surely only procured as a mockery to prolong Kaveh’s existing miseries.
Kaveh knows the rational thing would be to ask Al-Haitham directly. They’re both adults perfectly capable of discussing things like adults. Predictably, he does the complete opposite instead, doubling down on his own share of haughty pettiness.
It shouldn't depress or surprise him this much, Kaveh thinks dejectedly. He knows that Al-Haitham has always favoured efficiency and pragmatism, above all. Sentimentality is nearly as foreign as poetry and aesthetic sensibilities to the gaping, endless void in that man’s cinder block of a heart.

Summary
“... We have a baby.” Kaveh lets out in awe, and Alhaitham could only chuckle tiredly, still exhausted, yet his heart is so full, as he held the very person they’ve been waiting for the past 9 months.
After everything, it all leads back to this moment.
Alhaitham sighs faintly, “Yeah, we have.”
