Till gave the paper a little shake. “C’mon, princess,” he teased, like his own words didn't have his heart racing. “Please and thank you — you really need me to teach you how to use your manners?”
A muscle jumped in Ivan’s jaw. His gaze flicked from the paper to Till’s grin, then to the floor. “...Thank you.”
“Thank youuuuu….?” he trailed off.
Ivan’s shoulders hiked up around his ears. Till didn't think he’d ever seen Ivan this embarrassed in his life. He was enjoying every second of it. He wished he could pull out his phone to take a picture — or fifty — without Ivan trying to kill him for it. “Thank you, Till.”
till hasn't seen ivan in over a decade, not since the older boy left for college and they drifted apart. now till's got the role as executive assistant to the ceo of anakt co., and till spends most of his waking hours up close and personal with an older, more serious, more perpetually exhausted version of ivan.
till doesn't give much of a shit about the job itself. ivan clearly won't take care of himself, so till will take care of him whether ivan likes it or not.

Summary
Till makes himself and Ivan matching hair clips and wants to confess when giving Ivan his after school, but he has trouble bringing it up. When he finally manages to show Ivan the hair clip, of course the first thing Ivan does is suggest that it's for Mizi just because it's pink, but Till hasn't liked Mizi in years, and he has absolutely Had It that Ivan won't let that go. Till aggressively (affectionately) gives Ivan his hairclip that Till made for him because he thinks Ivan looks good in pink, and clarifies his feelings to an extent he never has before. Till struggles with emotional dysregulation and Ivan struggles with low self-esteem and verbalization, but they're quintessential dumb teenage boys in love, so they get there in the end, ultimately reclaiming pink as an Ivan color.

Ivan was supposed to be normal.
Scents, cycles, secondary genders; Ivan was meant to have that too, but years past puberty granted him nothing. According to the doctors, Ivan suffered from a gland disorder. Unable to produce a scent or identify them left him to navigate a society that depended on something Ivan lacked. Without any clear indication of his dynamic, Ivan worried he would fail to meet anyone’s expectations.

He sighed, resigned and somewhat stressed. "I um... like you." He watched his foot make circles on the floor.
Ivan bobbed his head, confused and somewhat playful. "Oh, that again. I'm sure you're confused. At least I hope you're not just joking." Ivan feigned a pout, but the slightly hurt glint in his eyes gave him away.
"What... what can I do to make you believe me?"
Ivan rested his chin in one hand and pretended consideration. "Give me your hand. If you don't move away because of what i will do next, then I'll believe you." Ivan smiled somewhat tensely, clearly not believing a single word of what Till had said earlier
"Good." He held out his right hand to Ivan. The other carefully took it in his and stroked his fingers over Till's palm. Ivan stared for a moment before a determined expression appeared on his face. Then he brought Till's finger to his mouth and slowly began to lick it.
