He must have hit his head and forgotten or something. There is no way in hell that Kaveh just thought of his sworn enemy as cute. This is disgusting. It’s unacceptable. It goes against all known laws of the universe, probably.
Just once is a fluke, twice is a pattern. As long as that word never comes up in relation to Alhaitham again, Kaveh is fine. He is fine. Surely.
In which Kaveh seeks help from the world’s nosiest therapist, gets dragged into the land of theatre kids, falls in love with his irritating classmate, and realizes some things about himself along the way.

“There you go, being quiet again.” Kaveh laughs. It sounds tragic. When Alhaitham doesn’t respond, Kaveh hums as if in thought. “How about I guess? I feel like after all this time… I should be pretty good at reading your mind.”
Alhaitham folds his arms over his chest. The only light is the dull green of their visions and the vague, white moonlight hidden behind the clouds. None of it is enough to see Kaveh in detail, but he can sense that Kaveh has turned and is standing close to him.
“You’re currently thinking this is stupid, and that I’m being ridiculous.”
“Miraculous. A prognostication worthy of an oracle.”
“Shut up. I’m more interested in what’s behind that, though. The things you said when I couldn’t hear you. It was about me, wasn’t it?”

Summary
After months of living with his friend, Kaveh finally managed to find a place of his own. At least, he thought it was his own. To his shock, the apartment was haunted, and by a rather unfriendly ghost as well. Unfortunately, with the apartment being the only place he could afford to stay at, he was stuck with having to put up with his new roommate, Alhaitham the ghost.

Kaveh can feel the heaviness of eyes on his back. He can feel people staring at his face. Waiting. Expecting. Everyone is holding their breaths, acting like it's only a matter of time until their entertainment begins.
Kaveh feels tired.
Kaveh doesn't want to be a clown in their imaginary circus. He and his emotions aren't tools of their entertainment.
He really doesn't care if Al-Haitham is the new Acting Grand Sage. Congratulations to him.Everyone expects Kaveh to react negatively to the news of Al-Haitham becoming the new Acting Grand Sage.
But he doesn't.
Instead, he stays and helps Al-Haitham to build Sumeru. -

Kaveh, an undergraduate student of Environmental Design, is confronted with a change in roommates at his dormitory when his best friend, Tighnari, moves out to live with his partner, Cyno. His new roommate, Alhaitham, seems a little too monochromatic for him at first, but the light of day reflects all sorts of shades on his striking eyes, and Kaveh can't help getting a little more curious about him with each day.
