What If Story: Kallus and Zeb are stuck on the ice moon for a lot longer.
“It’s been hours,” Kallus said, staring at the sky, “10 at least, from the rotations…” He collapsed back into the snow. “The Empire should have narrowed in the signal by now, if they were still in the system. They haven’t, which means they're gone.”
“My friends don’ give up as easy,” Zeb said.
“Even if they think you’re dead?” Kallus questions, “Even if being here puts them in danger?” Kallus hit his head back on the ground, “If the Empire’s not here, then it’s because the rebels are gone too.”
“You underestimate ‘em,” Zeb said, “Always do.”

Kallus folded his arms across his chest. “Half the people here wish I was dead. The other half just hate me. I mean, I understand why, it’s not like I’m complaining. But still, it doesn’t feel like…”
“Oh!” Cassian interrupted, his eyes lighting up. “I have a brilliant idea! Let’s hook you up with someone!”
Kallus stiffened instantly. “Let’s NOT!”
Cassian leaned forward, grinning mischievously. “You could use a little… you know. You really need to relax, loosen up, blow off some steam, if you know what I mean”.
“I’m going to blow your head off if you keep talking”, Kallus muttered, his voice low and menacing.

Summary
Two years after Lira San goes public with its existence and declares that all living lasat may claim birthright citizenship, a stranger arrives at the welcome center where Zeb volunteers. He's a grizzled old vet of a lasat, distrusting of everyone and lost without a war to guide him... and he once worked with Saw Gerrera.
Zeb doesn't tell Alex about the newcomer, which turns out to be a terrible mistake.
