Grian was raised by the Watchers an organization that masquerades as noble benefactors while pulling strings from the shadows. To them, he is not a son, but a tool. And now, he’s their most important piece.
His mission is simple: marry King Scar Goodtimes, earn his trust, and help the Watchers tighten their grip on the kingdom. In return, Grian will finally be free.

The two bond over Freya loneliness and her condition, narcolepsy, which causes her to fall asleep suddenly. She believes no one will ever want her because of it. Teddy, having once felt unwanted himself, feels deeply for her and quickly becomes her friend.
