I'd never considered navigating the path of becoming a jedi, I knew i was never cut from the same clean cloth as them, never destined to be trained by an endearing master. save people. jedi are honest and good, at least that's what my mother preached my entire life. I'm not a 'good' person, i only care if i have food, i care if my family is safe. I've killed for those commodities, stolen for them. I'm not honorable. The Sith, on the other hand, are worse. i see on broadcasts, the war. they murder and destroy planets with no regard, they want to pull the galaxy into darkness, to rule over it with a cruel iron fist... at least that's what the news says.
i never had any feelings towards either side, I've lived in the republic my entire life, I've heard we used to have patrols on the low levels of the city. it use to be safe, but they stopped long ago. outside of the few officers who visit for dirty business. its lawless. I've never had the privilege to give the political state of the galaxy any thought much less who'd id side with, not until the last two weeks i suppose. when i ran into the tall, cloaked individual, while on my way home from a particularly irritating day...
