    From the moment of his birth, Izuku had been unremarkable. Sure, as a child he may have been cute, with his wide eyes, tousled locks, and freckled, soft cheeks but as a teenager, he was left with a rather plain-looking body. He was small and skinny and, most importantly, he was quirkless which gave the other kids in his grade plenty of ammunition to push him around.

    His hopes were once again crushed when he finally did present. He presented as a Beta, the smallest population group. Betas were rare, true, but they were also even more looked down upon than every other secondary gender. Betas could take on the role of an Omega or an Alpha, they were versatile like that. But this versatility came with a high cost: The fertility of Betas was almost non-existent.

    But what hurt the most was the comments from Kacchan.

    "A useless gender for a useless Deku," he had said upon hearing the news. "It's a good fit, don't you agree, shitty nerd?"
