N stepped to the edge of the nest and leaned down so he could nuzzle into her cheek. “Feelin’ itchy?” he asked lightly. He already knew the answer.
Uzi peeked one eye open at him, the oval replaced by a narrow slit. He waited.
“Yeah,” she grumbled. Her massive feathered wings rustled, and she heaved herself more into the middle of the nest.
