Summary
We follow Lan, a new farmer with selective mutism who just moved into Pelican Town not too long ago, and her journey of self discovery as her world becomes much bigger than it once was. While we join her as she meets new people, forms new connections, and discovers new things the world has to offer, we also slowly get an understanding of why she ran away to the valley.
-This is an ongoing fanfic that will go over many things that life may throw at a person, so there's no exact end yet. Just a collection of stories that make up people so while Lan is the farmer the story wont always revolve around her or her relationships. Other characters will shine too! Its in a way a Love letter and analysis of what i love about Stardew as well. Thanks for your time- -

The new farmer in Pelican Town has no idea what she's doing. Her beloved grandpa left her this farm as his last wish, and with $500 and pure willpower, she boarded the bus to the strange valley hidden in the hills. Does she know anything about farming? No. She does, however, know the tall, dark-haired boy with the motorcycle and a secret smile is a puzzle she'd like to solve—even if he is trying to escape to the very place she's running from.

“So... yeah, that's it, I guess,” Sam says, scratching the back of his head and glancing at Sebastian, who's as still as a statue.
Willow doesn't care. Actually, those two are a godsend because after weeks of interviews, they are the first that fit the bill, and she doesn't have the kind of money it takes to rent this apartment alone anymore. She has come to like it—a lot. Put her little trinkets here and there, and... Yeah, those other things that disappeared when he left.
Too empty. Two more people won't be too many to fill that void—not that they can really do anything for the one inside of her chest.
Or: What if the farmer never went to Pelican town, and stayed in Zuzu? What if Sebastian finally managed to move out with Sam, and those two were looking for a new place to live?

Summary
There was a time when Sam and Sebastian were best friends. Sam remembers everything like it happened yesterday; Sebastian can't remember most of his childhood, memories fogged by his constant state of fight or flight. But for some reason Sam doesn't mind this --doesn't mind the bitter person Sebastian has grown into-- and promises that no matter how long it takes, he will wait. Apparently he's not the only one that feels that way about him either.
