One of the things that had been the hardest to get used to on Earth was the experience of being around someone who genuinely enjoys being in the room with me. It's was strange to me then, and I didn't know what it was about me that made them behave that way. Some of them came to call themselves my friends, while others did not. Either way, we bonded over mutual feelings.
