"No, I am perfectly fine." He sits up, glaring at the butler without much effort. "Don't underestimate me, I can handle whatever it is you give me, I am not weak."
It's as if Pennyworth expected him to say that, or gave in without a fight. "Very well, child. It wouldn't be right of me to deprive you of your robin training."
A small spark of pride lights up in him, making the corners of his lips curve up just a bit. Anybody else would have made him stay in bed - maybe strap him down with restraints if they had too. At least Alfred is aware of his true strength.
"Your brother's have all gone trough the same training with me at some point in their lives. They say it's by far much more enjoyable than other grueling exercises. Maybe you'll feel the same." The butler leads him out of the room, one hand lingering on his shoulder.
"What training is it?"
"You'll see, my boy"
Or: Damian hates everything about the new training Alfred assigned him, but he won’t do anything about it, because it'll only make him stronger, and he can't fall behind from his brothers.

"Code Neon" was something you, Barbara, Stephanie and Cass had come up with a few months ago, laughing about how ridiculous it was that menstrual hygiene products came in the most insufferable hard-to-ignore bright packaging possible. Stephanie had joked about using the code to bail out of patrol for period-related reasons without causing a fuss. "A little Batfamily secret," she’d said. Internally, you’d felt a thrill run through your body at being so casually included in the family. Externally, you’d arched an eyebrow and scoffed at the ridiculous name.
You never thought you’d actually have to fucking use it.
Or: You're on patrol with the Batfam. Life happens. Dick takes care of you.

His face is pale. Lips curled up in a grotesque smile. Torn up the cheeks, oozing blood that drips onto the cement floor. One hand rips at his dark hair, greasy and limp over manic eyes. The other hangs at his side, limply clinging to a gun. “Ha ha ha-” Half frantic laughter, half distraught sobs that rattle through his chest.
Between them, the Joker’s body. Blood blossoming around his head. Brain matter spattered on the floor. Smiling. Eyes vacantly staring up at the ceiling.
“Hahahahaha-”
Bruce approaches slowly. Like he’s approaching a skittish animal. “Tim,” he says softly, and the boy blinks at him, still laughing, still sobbing. There are tears in his eyes. “Tim, put down the gun.”

He's cleaned up as best he can, combed his hair, wearing his least worn jeans, a green button down -unbuttoned, because he's trying to look nice, not like a geek -and he even made it a point to clean his work boots.
