"It's like seein’ a damn ghost every time I look at ya’," Logan sighed.
Kurt Darkhölme. An achingly familiar shell, yet every movement, every expression, different. He kept searching for a trace of the Kurt he knew every time his gaze dragged across his shadowed face. That if he just looked hard enough, something would be there. That on some level, he had his elf back again.
"Your world's Kurt," the man started hesitantly, turning from his stare. "He was compassionate, yes? Selfless? Gentle?"
"To the core," Logan replied fondly, taking a long drink.
Darkhölme set his own bottle down sharply. "Then I am sorry, but your friend is truly gone."

Summary
Over time, they began to adapt to the vast, empty expanse of the pocket dimension you called the Heroes Screen.
Not only that, but they learned how to subtly manipulate the space itself—managing to bring over small pieces of their belongings. Slowly, the Heroes Screen started to feel less like an oppressive white void and, honestly, more like a backstage dressing room waiting for a cue.
