    Summary

There were three major social faux pas in witching society. Chief among these was the use or casting of forbidden magic, a egregious offense that would call for the caster's memories to be taken from them. Left to be discarded as nothing more than a boogeyman whispered between children. The second, much less offensive then the use of forbidden magic but almost crueler with its affliction would be the crime of being deemed unfit to cast. Whether it be the absense of a steady hand or the lack of perfect eye sight, it truly was a pitiful fate to fall into.

The last one, a social crime that Tetia has found herself in through no fault of her own, was being an apprentice without a master.

At night, Tetia would dream of a fluffy cloud that would cradle her. The cloud was warm and soft and enveloped her in its comfort like a blanket. In her dreams, instead of the threadbare smock she had she was wearing perfectly tailored dresses that swished like the robes the adult witches would wear. Her shoes would fit, whether they be the slippers princesses would wear or boots that wouldn’t be separating at the sole with each step.

One thing she was never able to dream away was hunger.

    Summary

A late night shared with chocolate and wine musing over ‘what if’ scenarios.

“I have a question for you,” Qifrey breaks the comfortable silence, peering at Olruggio from over the rim of his glass he gently knocks his foot against the man’s calf.

Olruggio raises a brow at him, his response delayed by the piece of chocolate he was eating. “You and questions over wine are never a good thing,” Olruggio says, hooking his ankle around Qifrey with a laugh when the white haired man kicks him.

“Have you ever thought about settling down?” Qifrey continues with his question.

“I’m pretty settled here.” Olruggio says taking a long sip of his wine with a waggle of his brows.

“I’m being serious Olly.” Qifrey tuts, biting into another piece of chocolate without actually tasting it. Which is a shame, spiced chocolate can be a bit of a hassle to get in Kalhn.

“Ask silly questions, get silly answers. As the old saying goes.”The dark haired witch sets his wine glass down with a clink against the table, raising his arms above him in a stretch that has his spine popping in a way that leaves him with loose limbs. “Besides, I'm being plenty serious.”

    Summary

Not Safe For Work but is Safe For Witches (finally!)

The silverwood is gone and now Olruggio and Qifrey can explore this new part of their relationship one night at a time.

You don't have to have read the rest of the series for this to make sense, but it does exist in the same world so it's going there.

    -

Their lips broke apart and Qifrey heard himself whining, a high noise he would probably be embarrassed about if it weren’t for how wonderful Olruggio felt beneath him. If he had the presence of mind to even be embarrassed.

“Look at you,” Olly whispered, one hand hot on his hip, guiding him to grind down and press them together. “Always wanted you.”

    Summary

Qifrey hated rainy days, and it wasn't just because he despised water. It was the migraines that always came to vex him every rainstorm. The terrible, pounding, and unbearable migraines, and they had seemingly gotten worse ever since he fell pregnant. For once in his life he decided he was going to take some time to rest today, but unfortunately, his apprentices had other plans.

Seems like it's up to a certain watchful eye to make sure Qifrey gets the rest he deserves!

    Summary

Olruggio uses fire magic to protect himself against an assault.

He does not handle this well.

    -
For the second time in his life, Olruggio forged his sacred flame into a sword and brandished it against his fellow man.

“I should– I should make a statement,” he breathes, gaze still caught in that long extinguished fire. The dirt between his fingers chills like fresh frost. “What I did–”

    “ –is self-defense. Nothing more.”

Olruggio grits his teeth at the implication, at the forgiveness that is not hers to give.
