Gangle was tired of the elephant in the room that was beginning to suffocate them. “Hey, you know, um, isn’t the script really weird when it comes to our scenes together?...”
Zooble stopped in their tracks for a second. They usually weren’t afraid of bringing things up, but this time, with her? Every ounce of toughness they had just evaporated away.
“It… Yeah. It is.”
“Like, that one scene where we have to— look each other in the eyes, and…”
Gangle gulped, her breathing wavering. Her entire body wanted to tie itself into knots as she gazed at Zooble, those lines still replaying in her mind.Caine gets creative and decides to try his hand at making a blockbuster movie as part of an adventure. Gangle and Zooble are cast as the protagonists. Zooble plays the classic hero of the story, and to match, Gangle plays the helpless princess, who, of course, is destined to be their love interest.
Neither of them seems able to grasp that they’ll have to be way more intimate and closer than they’re used to, all for the sake of storytelling.
