“on a whim namjoon decides to approach the bench, hesitating as he stands a distance away from the stranger. the man opens his eyes, almost as if he had sensed namjoon coming, the artist decides in that moment that maybe he had. his eyes are red and something in namjoon’s heart breaks as he stares into them. he expects the stranger to tell him off, to flea like he had just last week when the man with his dog sat on the bench, but instead he just closes his eyes again, not saying anything.
