Summary
When Thor decides to continue to live at home and attend community college nearby after graduating, and Loki weathers bullying at school after coming out as gay, the brothers are pushed closer together after two years of their oppositional interests and social circles keeping them apart. Loki isn't sure what this renewed attention from Thor means, or how he feels about it. Then a traumatic event pulls them ever closer, and things bubble to the surface.

It hadn’t always been like this. The entire time they attended the same high school, Thor two grades ahead of him, they’d drifted further and further apart, Loki’s persona going darker the sunnier Thor’s got. Thor existed in a world of football games, keg parties, and giggly girls with long, straightened hair and shiny, fruit smelling lip gloss. A good half of which, it was rumored, he’d fooled around with. Loki, on the other hand, was a virgin who couldn't care less about anything that didn’t involve art or music, or did involve the popularity trappings of people who were surely peaking in high school.
