Summary
Eight-year-old Kim Seungmin does not believe in monsters under the bed. He’s way too old and smart—if he does say so himself, which he does—for such nonsense. So naturally, he's not scared at all to check under his bed when he hears a strange sound one night.
And either a kid broke into his house dressed for Halloween on a random Wednesday in March, or Seungmin is about to believe in something crazy.
Or, Kim Seungmin and his monster-under-the-bed Jeongin grow up together.

Apparently Minho was wrong, because Jeongin is not with friends tonight. Instead he’s standing in the middle of the hallway, completely naked except for a towel wrapped around his waist. Jisung takes in his wet hair, the cross necklace resting against his bare chest, his toned abs—
“Jisung,” Jeongin exhales, shaking his head. “What are you doing here? Where’s hyung?”
“What are you doing here?” Jisung demands. “Minho-hyung is with Hyunjin. He said I could come over and hang out until he gets back.”
Jeongin raises his eyebrows. “You really don’t have anything better to do on a Friday night?”
(or: Jisung is stuck with Jeongin, his best friend’s annoyingly hot little brother, during a storm.)

“Ji, who cares if you’re soulmates?” Jeongin said, reaching out to touch Jisung’s arms. He very pointedly ignored how it felt a little like he was being electrocuted at the simple touch. “You’re barely twenty-two, you have plenty of time to find your soulmate.”
Jisung looked at him for a while and Jeongin honestly thought both he and logic might have won for once, but then Jisung’s eyes hardened and Jeongin just knew that stubborn streak had outmatched him again.
“But I want my soulmate now,” Jisung said. “And Hyunjin is a better bid on being just that one than a lot of other people,” he finished breaking Jeongin's heart a little more with every word.
Why won’t you give me a chance? Jeongin wished he had the courage to voice that thought.
Or; it takes a kiss to confirm if you’re soulmates, and Jisung is set on kissing Hyunjin to prove that they’re soulmates just to annoy Hyunjin, much to Jeongin’s despair, who, for once in his life, really just wants a kiss. From Jisung, specifically.
