Summary
Till isn't someone who normally dreams.
Normally being an important word since the universe hates him; so when Till shot up in bed gasping for air because of a nightmare it wasn't expected but he was quick to accept reality.
In any case, Till woke up because of a nightmare in a cold sweat despite it being in the middle of summer and their AC having automatically shut off and the fact that he naturally runs warm.
All of this, and yet something about that nightmare has his back slathered in a thin sheen of sweat that freezes him to the bone.
If only this kind of cooling didn't come with emotional trauma.
Or: Till wakes up at 3 am unnaturally cold and in desperate need of warmth from him idiot boyfriend.

Summary
“Why are you up?” Ivan asked innocently even though he was anything but.
“I’m working on my essay,” he gestured vaguely towards his laptop, “Why are you up?” He narrowed his eyes, analysing Ivan’s expression as if searching for his true motives hidden underneath the goofy, crooked smirk he wore.
“Because I am,” he replied with finality.
“That’s not a valid response…”
“It is,” he countered, “Anyways aren’t you supposed to be working on your essay which is due in,” he glanced over his shoulder to read the clock, “five hours, fourth-nine minutes and fifty-three seconds. Fifty-two. Fifty-o—”
“Shut up,” Till massaged his temple.
“Oh come on Till, you can be nicer than that,” Ivan leaned in, resting his chin on Till’s shoulder, nuzzling against him.
Injecting fake sweetness into his tone, he tried again, “With all due respect, can you shut the hell up? Please?”
Till wakes up at night to work on his essay which is due in a few hours. Ivan follows, and of course, has to tease him. Fluff ensues.

"Darling, you can't have ice cream."
"Why the hell not?" Till snaps, slapping away Ivan's hand that goes to caress his cheek, turning his head to glare at the man. "Are you saying I'm fat or something?"
Ivan sighs and runs a soothing hand through Till's hair. "No of course not, otherwise how would you be sitting on me right now." Till supposes that's true. If he were too big for Ivan to handle he wouldn't be straddling Ivan's lap on their couch at this very moment.
That of course doesn't mean it still wasn't Ivan's fault though.
Or: Married Ivan and Till finally catch a break and relax on their couch except Till always has to make issues out of nothing and Ivan is not helping.

In his field of work, it’s not a rare occurrence to watch people stand at death’s door, whether it’s their own fault or not. It’s how it works here in Snezhnaya. No one is safe, not even when they’re under his protection. A bear remains to be a bear, after all. It still gets hungry, and will eat anything it thinks can seal its appetite. A bear protects what it deems as priority, keeps them safe, but not even a bear stands a chance against a force quicker or stronger than it. It wouldn’t be able to beat a race against a bullet directed at the very center. It also wouldn’t be fast enough to save a companion from the predicament.
