Kendall and his three siblings are in the living room of his new post-rehab apartment. It’s been about a month now since Mom’s wedding, and things have been moving fast without him around for the company business. He hasn’t really kept up with who’s on whose side now, other than him and Stewy being on good terms again since he opened up about the accident in London.
What he’s called them here to talk about today has nothing to do with Waystar. It is something that has been lurking in the darkest corners of his heart for thirty years.

The shrink asks him if his father had ever escalated that crossing of boundaries in a physical way, or otherwise allowed sexual abuse to take place in their family. Kendall says no, definitely not. He says it so quickly, so confidently. He makes sure the subject is effectively dropped and they move on.
And why shouldn’t he? He’s had so much practice giving that answer, every time he’s had to discuss his dysfunction with child psychologists and counselors. He knew well that he couldn’t risk the truth ever leaving that office and causing trouble at home.
