Summary
In all his centuries, Mu Qing witnessed men laying with women in all different sorts of ways. He saw snippets of dreams he would rather not; he heard prayers drunkards sent to him instead of General Ju Yang (clearly out of inebriated confusion and stupidity); and he opened books he wished he hadn’t containing porn worthy of General Ming Guang’s library.
But never had he seen or even thought what cut-sleeve sex would look like.
Sound like.
Smell like.
One instant of walking into Puqi Shrine at the wrong moment and Mu Qing now possessed way more information than he ever had before — and he hated it.

Summary
Mu Qing is dying.
Two years after he almost lost life, limb, and pride at Mount Tonglu, the god of the Southwest is standing face-to-face with his own mortality yet again. But this time, not even the people he cares for can save him from a sick core. He has one year (maybe) and a god's worth of loose ends to tie before the end.
The problem is Feng Xin, who has chosen now, of all the centuries available to him, to finally look back.
Mu Qing has spent eight hundred years making peace with wanting what he couldn't have. He'd gotten very, very good at it. He is considerably less good at it with 12 months left on the clock and Feng Xin's eyes on him like he's something worth keeping.

Summary
The voice, Feng Xin registered dumbfoundedly, despite the broken phrases in which it spoke mingling into each other, tumbling over each other so fast it sounded like there were at least four Mu Qing's speaking, was now clear as day and impossibly close, far too close to be coming from someone who had just turned, facing away from him. In an ultimate attempt to refute his suspicion, he let his mind flicker to their private communication array, only to find it firmly closed. He stared at Mu Qing’s back, wide-eyed, his mouth suddenly very, very dry. If he wasn't hallucinating, then there was only one explanation for what was happening:
He was hearing Mu Qing’s thoughts.
On a mission with his hated rival Mu Qing, Feng Xin is hit by a blast - and suddenly he can hear Mu Qing's thoughts. All of them. Everywhere. And what he learns makes him question whether he's ever known Mu Qing at all.

Summary
Ever since Mount Tonglu, Feng Xin has been touching Mu Qing more often, and more softly, causing a swooping sensation in his stomach every time.
It’s not a bad feeling, necessarily, but Mu Qing can’t really tell if it’s good, either — not until a curse makes him unable to feel any touch at all, and he realizes just how much all those gentle touches have been affecting him.
