Summary
The year: 1966
The soviet onion had established its power for well over 40 years across Eurasia. During the leadership of General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev, those who openly expressed beliefs that contradicted the official dogma, worshipped a god or otherwise acted unproductive to society were deemed mentally ill. Psychiatric hospitals sprung up all across the country to house these “madmen '' with the goal of breaking them physically and mentally, in hopes that these twisted ideas will resurface no more.
Through his intelligence and sheer hard work, Fyodor Dostoevsky successfully got a job as a psychiatrist at The Serbsky State Scientific Center for Social and Forensic Psychiatry. His gaze is not focused on the high wages however, the chance of unrestricted torture is what piqued his interests. A day of work goes by relatively easily. Just talk a little to the patients, sedate them, depersonalise them, rinse and repeat till they either kill themselves or hide their condition so much their family brings them back.
Today he sees a different case, but a nutcase nonetheless.
