Powered by foolhardy ambition, Stanford Pines was on the precipice of fully realising his Grand Unified Theory of Weird when divine inspiration struck. Cajoled into building an interdimensional portal by his otherworldly muse, our plucky protagonist was loathe to call in his old college buddy, reluctant to invite the vultures of the scientific community to descend upon his venture. Creating a loophole, Stanford fashioned a body for his flighty inspiration, pinning down the transcendental insight of Bill Cipher, intending to partner on this exciting new project, in more ways than one.

Summary
A mysterious game with an even more mysterious game-master pulls Bill from the edge of death and back to Gravity Falls for the summer, where he seeks to win the valuable prize he was promised upon achieving victory; the destruction of the weirdness barrier around the town.
Naturally, such a tempting deal comes with a few...surprises, mainly in the form of a tweenage, human vessel he's now forced to call home.
And as the summer continues, only more surprises, twists and ghosts of triangle's past will reveal themselves—no matter how hard Bill tries to turn his usual blind eye to them. It's a brand new summer with brand new mysteries, ones that might be more than Bill, or even the Pines family, are prepared to handle.
A 'Bill Cipher Turns Human and Shenanigans Ensue' fanfiction. Content warnings will be added as needed, but the overall fic will be rated for a Teen and Up Audience. This fic is canon-divergent to 'The Book of Bill', but overall still mostly canon-compliant.

Isn't that the point of all your research into the long forgotten and the as yet unknown? Your desperate bifurcated digs down the diverging tunnels of science and magic searching for the point where they collide back into each other with a wet splat? All your notes in those books that you hope will outlast your pathetically short existence? Haven't you felt it—that crawling, clawing desperation for immortality?!
I know you have. I know you still do. Immortality is the only thing that matters to you.
That's what you took from me.
