Summary
The RK's are reeling their support and accomplishments from the past two years that have passed, but there's no time to stop. Survival in the Ruins requires movement, and so, with strong hearts, RK's continue their quest to find the jet they saw in the skies two years ago. If that jet exists, then humanity itself must have survived... somewhere. Finding it is their best hope for having a future and a life worth living.
But the Ruins is far more dangerous than any of them can imagine. The Infected seem to be mutating in terrifying ways that could change everything the RK's know about surviving among the walking dead. And even worse, a death cult has arisen that is gathering new followers at a frightening rate and is devoted to sending every living person in the Ruins into the waiting arms of death.

Summary
RK's and Saviors are at peace from the events of the KillGames, and now all the communities work together as one, even there are slight tension between the Eleven Towns and Sanctuary. It's all working well, with Mal and her friends requiring movements with heavy hearts.
But the Ruins is far more dangerous than anyone can imagine. The Infected seem to be mutating in terrifying ways that could change Mal, the RK's, Saviors, and everyone know about surviving among the walking dead. And even worse, a familiar past is rebuilding from the ashes and gathering followers and sending everyone to think on who is there enemy and to trust.

Summary
Three months have passed since the gruesome battle with Charlie Marion Pink-Eye and the KillGames in the Infected-infested mountains of the Ruins. It's also three months now Mal and the RK's are officially part of the infamous group of the Saviors and Negan, the pot-mouth humorous, larger than life leader. Now the battle isn't over, they still hunt down the Claimers and Glory and her men. After that alliances are turning into something more unique and special.
But everything in the Ruins goes wrong. They are pursued by the living dead, wild animals, and murders, and the conflicts in one of the Eleven Towns. Worst of all... the past is coming to haunt them again and not everyone will make it out alive.

It's been twenty-seven years from now on, an outbreak occurred, causing millions of people dying from the Black Night incident. The world is now called The Ruins in America. People are now on their own since after the fall of the Flyer Frontiers and the Infected still lives among the survivors. Mal has been living in The Ruins at the age of sixteen. She is born, lives, and adapted to her world. That's her daily routine, day and night, surviving. With her companion of friends, her whole world that she knew is going to get bigger, will change when things start to plummet their sanction.
The Ruins is beautiful yet empty, survival is all everyone has, and no one can be trusted enough.

Negan embodied the missing puzzle piece of Carl’s high school life; kindness, approachability, companionship, and the wisdom of someone who wanted the best for Carl. He was a genuine friend; uncensored, honest, and he could be a royal pain in the ass, but Carl needed him as much as he needed oxygen.
After the apocalypse, Carl resigned to never seeing Negan again. The survival part of his brain all but erased the Negan part. He barely thought about him.
