Summary
It's in the nature of humanity to defy the status quo, to upheave the authority of both physical and metaphorical blockades. Confinement to a space only breeds a violent defiance to the master, whom is always left to the defense. Stanley, in this terrible terrible world he's been thrusted into, is no different. His rebellion of circumstance, even in the face of unfavorable odds, is unquestioned.
But what what results of his outrage is something entirely out of his control, and The Narrator knows how to deal with defiance very well.
