Summary
Double D has had enough with his life. Being bullied by his peers, his parents neglect, his friends drifting apart, and the weight of being a perfect student/son. All he is is the lonely dorky teachers pet nothing more to anyone's eyes. Of course that changes when he is faced with Eddy's brother Terry again. It has been over 5 years since he has seen Terry believing he is only there to torment him and the other cul de sac kids. However he takes interest in getting to know Double D seeing him as more than some dumb ankle biter and beings to involve himself with Double D. While Double D believes Terry to be nothing more than some lowlife criminal he begins to see him as a lot more and feels that Terry makes him feel alive and cared for. To Terry's surprise he also begins to have deeper feelings for the Ed boy rather than some late night bed warmer but someone he connects with. The two will struggle with how everyone see's them and conflicts with each other, along with other cul de sac members who have some deeper feelings towards Double D.

The only thing that made your life worth giving a shit about in your eyes was cartoons.
Your mom one day notices how much you like them, and long story short she kidnaps all the characters you like and make them apart of the ‘family’ in order to have you and her cope with all the bullshit life deals out.

They vary extensively from not wanting to do your homework to how many jawbreakers you want to get at your local candy store. Things like growing up and thinking about your future seem like something that come later in your life. It seems more daunting than you think, though it comes down to thinking about the future-what career you want, who you'll marry, where you'll live, and starting a family. It makes you realize exactly how old you are and how it only seems like yesterday your most significant concern was riding your bike around the cul-de-sac.

Summary
In the suburbs, three adolescent boys start to realize there's more to life than cash and candy -- but disagree on what it is they think a mature person should be. Meanwhile in the city, the last two remaining members of a band of noble criminals are getting on each other's nerves as they cope with the fact that they aren't making any progress towards their goals, and since no adult is crazy enough to join them, they might just find themselves working with some odd boys who seem to be in desperate need of guidance and role models. A comedy-drama character-study longfic... with the action scenes deserving of a crossover between a slapstick cartoon and a timeless adventure tale.
A common criticism of Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy is that all the characters are irredeemably unlikable in some way, while even the animators of Robin Hood called their film a really cutesy piece with "no soul." I intend to remedy both of those things.
Fair warning for profane and sometimes offensive language.
Reviews, even negative, are welcomed and encouraged. I want to see if my writing style can fly with normal people. :P
