The battle against the Abyss has ended, for now. Mavuika and The Captain have a moment to themselves in the Speaker's Chamber after sending Paimon and The Traveller off to bed, and the topic of their earlier duel comes up--and the suggestion to do it again, for practice (just for practice, no other reasons at all). As their sparring raises the temperature in The Speaker's Chamber, the clothes begin to come off--and one thing leads to another.

When they finally broke apart, their breaths came fast and shallow, the only sound in the quiet night.
Mavuika murmured, her voice low and inviting, “We could continue this somewhere more private—and more comfortable.”
Despite his labored breathing, Capitano understood what Mavuika was suggesting. His reason—honed and hardened by centuries of discipline—smothered the fragile sensations he had just begun to feel.
“This isn’t the time or place. Tonight is for celebration.”
Mavuika tilted her head, her smile widening. “And what better way to celebrate?”

The war against the Abyss had been won—though at the cost of countless lives. The story takes place when Mavuika decides to hold a celebration in honor of their victory, fully aware of what it will soon demand of her. She wishes only to share one last feast with those she loves.
But Capitano is not deceived. He has recognized the familiar trace of Death’s power in Mavuika’s final display. And he knows all too well the price that follows.

Summary
A darker version of Natlan story quest.
500 years ago Mavuika sacrificed herself to give Natlan a chance to recover from a war with the Abyss. Everything goes according to plan. However, 500 years later Traveler and Paimon arrived to face suffering, endless deaths and the invasion of the Abyss. They intend to help, but it's not that easy. People of Natlan are in conflict, monsters are advancing and the Pyro Archon's efforts are not enough.
