Summary
The ether howled, and reality made to adapt to yet another sudden change in the tapestry of the future.
The world had done so before and would do so again, like it always had to when parts of its fabric were taken and erased from existence, demanding a fresh well of ink for the play’s pages yet to be written.
The current part of the spectacle hadn’t ended the way its director had desired. An actor quite obstreperous had decided to go off-script, to not take their leave off the stage, and the performance was in dire need of adjustment, lest the audience be dissatisfied and the curtains drawn.
A small intermission, then on with the show!
Yet another expectation not coming to pass.

But this hollow peace shatters when he encounters the entity hiding behind Fami : Death. The Death Devil reveals the unbearable truth: Makima is not gone. Fragmented in the depths of Hell, weakened but ever-lucid, she prepares to rise again. To prevent a new cataclysm, Death imposes an obscene pact upon Denji: he must become the guardian of the woman who destroyed him. Through a ritual of blood and submission, Denji tears Makima from the abyss to imprison her within his daily life. Denji, haunted by hatred and a twisted desire for vengeance, becomes the executioner of a fallen goddess who hasn't lost an ounce of her psychological cruelty. Between leaden silences and explosions of violence, a monstrous intimacy weaves itself through this embrace of ash and flesh—where the true prison is not the one he imagines.
