Summary
Eddie Munson awoke in the Upside Down to find not only that he had been left behind, but that something was… very wrong with him. He scrambles to find the only familiarity he can in hopes it will lead him to someone who will know how to help. Or, at least, assure him that he’s really alive.
This fic starts right after the events with Vecna, beginning that night and continuing into the two day time skip. This is a mirrored fic with @outofmygourd 's fic "Make Me Feel Like I Am Breathing". This is Eddie's POV, they are writing Steve's POV. We intended for the reader to alternate between chapters while reading (for example, read my chapter one, then read their chapter one, and continue on like that. or vice versa.) This is not necessary, if you would prefer to wait and read all of one you totally can, but things will make more sense if you read both POVs the way we intended.

Summary
A month ago Steve had decided at the last second that he just couldn’t leave his baby brother out of his sight. Eddie understood, he got it. So he’d agreed to swap out. He went with Robin and Nancy to the Creel house. He’d thrown molotov’s harder than anything he’d thrown before, but it hadn’t mattered. Vecna had crashed through the attic window and disappeared when they went down to check.
The trudge back to the trailer had been tense and twitchy, only broken when they’d heard Dustin screaming through the treeline.
That sound was the most terrifying thing he’d ever heard because he knew that Steve would never have let Dustin get hurt.
So if Dustin was hurt, it could only mean that something had happened to Steve.
A month later something creeps up on Eddie while he's sleeping.

Eddie raised an eyebrow. “You… like metal?”

“But you don’t know who Black Sabbath is?”
A small smirk played on Steve’s lips. “I like to support local.”
The 5 times Steve lied so he could watch Eddie play guitar, and the 1 time he didn't have to.
Or: the one where Steve is obsessed with watching Eddie play the guitar.

Summary
Steve looked at Eddie as he ate, averting his eyes to the wall with a groan. Why did he always have to eat like a pig? Eddie shoveled cereal straight from the box into his mouth, washing it all down with milk right after. All while talking to the rest of the group. Steve leaned against a beam inside the boathouse, trying to keep his eyes off of Eddie. Even with his best efforts, Steve's eyes always wandered back to Eddie's hands. Steve watched how fluidly they moved, how his rings would glisten under the sunlight. Steve didn't know why he couldn't look away.
Robin watched Steve as he looked at Eddie, and then look away as if he was doing something wrong. She recognized these small glances, and thought about all of the ammunition she would use against Steve later.
