Words cannot even describe how much I enjoyed this. As a Chinese history buff, I feel that you did the time period justice. I felt like I was actually there, or at the very least watching a short historical drama. Sort of like Painted Skin or Kiss of the Rabbit God. Now I shall proceed to think of this till the end of time.
I think my favorite part was how well written the fluidity of power was between the two. Kun's feminity in junction with his masculinity, and Ten's masculinity in junction with his femininity. I got a similar feeling seeing Kun at the filming of the Nightwalker MV, so glad someone actually wrote about this!!!!!
Anyways ty I will probably come back to reread this at least monthly

So I finished the first part and it was weirdly nostalgic to me but I couldn't firgue out why, so I decided to go through your Tumblr and OMG I REMEMBER YOU FROM THE FIRST RENAISSANCE!!! I remember seeing all the art and fic update posts in the tag when I used to doomscroll and just thinking "wow I wanna be that passionate one day".
Now it's been almost 10 years, and I'm in my 20s, and this is a new level of nostalgic for me 🥹
Anyways the first part of this series was SOOOOOOOOO GOOD I think I was trying to read it when it first came out? And then like any other teenager I lost focus and moved on to other things but I'm SO GLAD I REDISCOVERED THIS
