Summary
“Are you lonely?” Akihiko finds himself asking in a low voice, almost a whisper. It’s daring, it’s risky, but he can’t help it.
Haruki looks back at him with an unsure gaze, and the way he chews on his lower lip with hesitation is threatening to send Akihiko over the edge. This is really bad.
“I think so. Yeah.”
He’s got a lot to lose, but Akihiko is a man in love whose desperation grows stronger day by day as he has to watch the one he loves long for another man. If he can be selfish, then fuck it, he will be. This can work out for them both. This can be an okay substitute. It can be, but it’s definitely not guaranteed. It’s a gamble in which the odds aren’t in Akihiko’s favour—but he still thinks that it might be worth a shot.
“Use me, then.”

Akihiko makes a suggestion to Haruki that is equal parts concern for Haruki and his own selfishness. He tells himself that this is okay, it's good for them both. Only when he's in too deep does he realise how foolish of an assumption that was to make.Bookmarked by Callme_TuEn
