In the aftermath of the plot against Azar and the Sages, Alhaitham is stuck with the monotonous job of being Acting Grand Sage until someone else is found to fill the permanent roll. His new routine gets constantly disrupted by an influx of strange reports. Ghost sightings.
Though Alhaitham initially scoffs at the idea and ignores it. That is until it his curiosity is peaked upon seeing on edge Matra and particularly strange reports. Alhaitham decides to investigate and proove it is all just the work of a ley line disturbance causing hallucinations.What he uncovers, is something he never thought he'd see.

Nod-Krai is attempting to return to normal after several nation-ending disasters were avoided, but there's still some cleanup to be done. Though they're short-staffed, the brunt of the work falls to the Lightkeepers, so the Starshyna has no choice to send Flins on a solo mission. How is Illuga supposed to think of anything else when he doesn't return on time?
Illuga was worried sick. Despite Nikita's and Flins' assurances, Flins still had not returned from Kipumaki Cliff. Illuga had waited - very patiently, mind you - each day for word that Flins was back or had reached Cliffwatch Camp again, but there had been very little news. Nikita kept saying "no news is good news", but Illuga wasn't so sure. By the time the fifth day rolled around, Nikita was out of placating words.
"Starshyna," Illuga addressed Nikita as he entered the man's office.
Nikita let out a long-suffering sigh.
"Illuga," he began. "I know you're worried. Flins is capable, you must have faith in him."Also: Fae be like "POSSESSION IS NINE-TENTHS OF THE LAW"
