Summary
“Brian, I’m not making fun of you," Dom says. "I’d never do that.”
Sighing, Brian gathers every bit of his courage and puts it toward sitting up, letting himself be exposed to the man he’s loved since before he even really knew how. Staring down at a worn spot on the sheets, he mumbles, “Okay, why then? Because, let me tell you, from my end it feels pretty shitty, Dom.”
“Because it made you happy,” Dom says simply, shrugging. “It made you feel good and safe and whatever else, whether that’s something you’d ever want to admit to or not. I probably shouldn’t have sprung it on you, I can see that now, but none of that is bad, Bri.”
Brian wants to yell at him, wants to snarl and snap and posture about it, but it’s so much harder to fight back when Dom is completely, one hundred percent right.
