His cheerful voice always creeped Mob out, even though he has grown a lot to it. Bad habits die har- okay, I’ll shut up now, sorry. He drags a hand down his face, pondering where he should be headed first. He really wants to mine, but the yellow ball will just tell him where the nearest diamonds are without him even asking, it's been also just in general weird to be around him the last few days. And partially traumatizing because he knows that Verity killed his friend, Twix. The ball tried to gaslight him, he just gave up with the questioning and shit and accepted that he will never get to say a valid argument without it just being shut down by the other. He grabs food… Wait, food?

One thing Mob hated more than anything was being left behind.
So when he finds a strange Minecraft mod promising an AI companion that "knows everything," he figures it'll be enough to cure his boredom for a few weeks. He doesn't expect Verity, a cheerful yellow ball with far too many answers and a smile that never fades, to become his closest friend.
And Verity certainly doesn't expect to care so much about the lonely boy behind the screen.
After all, friends don't leave each other. Ever.
